The brand has a mission statement and a
goal, what it stands for. Sumarie is very much about the woman, the Sumarie
woman and what she likes to do and, to be honest, it’s a woman just like me.
She has a life, professional life, maybe she has a different lifestyle but she
does look after herself, she likes to travel, she likes to achieve things,
she’s very creative. She appreciates being unique. And the Sumarie woman is a
client that loves herself. She loves her body, and she would only treat herself
in the right way. Meaning that she would wear things that go along with her
lifestyle and what she believes in. The brand is about lifestyle; the brand is
about the independency, the freedom of a woman. Sumarie is my life journey.
Then, each collection has its own story; it depends upon where it gets its
inspiration. I research a lot and eventually the collection means a lot, first
of all, to me: it works with who I am. It’s always very classy, chic, it’s
minimalistic. In design less is more, for me. And it’s about telling the story
and inspiration I brought from the start, in each piece of the collection.
